For moisture reduction in desiccators and precision laboratory instruments. The transparent polypropylene dish allows visual inspection of silica gel, which changes in colour from blue to pale pink as it absorbs moisture. The desiccant can be easily regenerated by heating cartridges in an oven at 50°C overnight or at 100°C for 6 hours. Transparent PC bell and blue PP lower part. Will not break or implode under vacuum provided that the operating instructions are obeyed. Lower part is resistant to diluted acids, alkalis and other common desiccants. Vacuum connection at lower part. TFE stopcock is suitable for vacuum tubing 6.4mm i.d. For air tight sealing it is sufficient to grease sealing surface a little. No additional sealing ring is necessary. The additional rim at the bell prevents grease stains on lab benches.
